Privacy policy
Updated
ScrubPhoto processes your photos and videos on your own device. The files are never uploaded, never stored on a server, and never seen by us. This page lists everything else the site does that touches data.
Your files
When you choose, drop, paste or share a file, the browser reads it locally with JavaScript. The scrub happens in memory on your device, and the result is saved or shared from your device. There is no upload step and no server that could receive a file. You can check this yourself: load the page, turn on airplane mode, and the tool keeps working.
If you install ScrubPhoto as an app and share files to it from another app, your device hands the files to ScrubPhoto's service worker, which keeps them in your browser's local storage only until the tool opens them, then deletes them.
Storage on your device
The service worker keeps a copy of the site's code and fonts in your browser so the tool loads fast and works offline. ScrubPhoto itself sets no cookies.
Analytics
ScrubPhoto runs no analytics right now. If that changes, this page will say which service is used before it runs.
Ads
ScrubPhoto shows no ads yet. Ads from Google AdSense are planned. Before they run, this page will name the vendor, the cookies involved and the consent tool, and visitors where the law requires it will be asked for consent first.
Hosting
The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes the requests your browser makes for pages (your IP address, browser type and the page requested) to deliver and protect the site. Those requests never include your files.
If you write to hello@scrubphoto.com, we keep the email to answer you and delete it when it is no longer needed. Do not send private photos.
Children
ScrubPhoto is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect their data.
